Ray McLennan is a keynote public speaker, father of four, podcaster, blogger and former corporate solicitor from Scotland who no longer practices law but has many years of experience owning and operating a variety of businesses in the UK and Ireland. He has owned and operated 12 restaurants and at one time employed over 150 people. In addition he has owned and sold 3 hairdressing salons, a Glasgow nightclub and a wine importing business. He co-formed the Copyright Protection Agency in Dublin (1996 – 2011) and blogs and tweets regularly on legal and property investment issues. He is currently writing “How to Secure Alternative Investment for your Property Deals” and runs a two-day course 6 times a year called Raising Angel Finance; which usually sells out months in advance.

He also owns property and is refurbished an hotel to create 33 serviced apartments (opened November 2019)

Ray was formerly the Regional Manager for Scotland & Ireland for Angels Den, which has over 19,500 registered, FCA screened, high net worth Angel investors on its database and finds funding for property and SME businesses up to £5m.

After raising over £800k in Angel investment for one of his own property projects in June 2014, Raymond was instrumental in helping create Property Angels Den (PAD) in Sept 2014, which matches High Net Worth Investors with property proposals of all sizes. PAD now meets regularly and has funded a number of property projects all over the UK. Including £900k for a small environmentally friendly building company in Cornwall, serviced accommodation projects and commercial conversion, permitted development schemes.

Ray is a consultant with GAPP Property Fund Limited which connects screened, pre-qualified investors with screened pre-qualified developers.  This ensures that the money is there for good property developers who can offer a 7.25% return
